What is this? FX eh?! Houdini you say?

There is something about this software that is magnetic, and it drew me in until I was hooked. After an intro from Matt Estela, ALA’s VFX lead, we were given example setups for a holographic walking human, and also a cityscape where cars could be navigated and street layouts altered by simply adjusting a few parameters. Needing to find out more I visited SideFx’s website and was mesmerised by their customer showreel. Houdini appeared magical and capable of pulling off my most creative dreams.
